Moving Clouds

I designed the exhibition identity, wall vinyl, and posters for Moving Clouds, a group show that took place in early 2024 at Southern Exposure, curated by Cathy Lu. Posters were beautifully risograph-printed by Colpa Press, and were free to visitors during the exhibition.

To reflect the show’s themes of necromancing, ancestral calling, and opening portals between the living and spirit worlds, the exhibition identity and related visuals were inspired by smoke, fruit seeds, mold, and joss paper, rendered in watercolor and ink in collaboration with my growth spells mark-making practice. The exhibition title, Moving Clouds, is inspired by Ingrid Rojas Contreras’ gorgeous memoir, The Man Who Could Move Clouds.
