Added Value

I designed infographics and print materials for Added Value, a temporary vending installation organized by Stephanie Syjuco in conjunction with SFMOMA’s Public Knowledge initiative, with participation from the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, the Prelinger Library, and the artist collective Related Tactics. During the weekend of September 22–23, 2018, the museum’s Schwab Hall was the site of a massive public book sale, featuring a radical reorganization of used books with proceeds benefiting the San Francisco Public Library. The show also hosted a program of screenings, talks, and commissioned artist projects involving the manipulation and transformation of books-as-knowledge.

Related Tactics: Shelf Life

Shelf Life is a sticker-based series of actions from Related Tactics that asks readers to look closer at their home libraries and examine where there are blind spots, missing perspectives, and invisible power structures at play in the ways we seek out knowledge and narrative.
